THE WATERFALL

Some explanations on how we made the waterfall

There would be a waterfall with real water. The rock walls are walls normally used in aquariums. They are sawn so that it looks more or less credible. To make everything watertight, we worked for months. First we laid a base layer of glass fibre cloths soaked in epoxy resin.
We made the riverbed out of found stones

Under the waterfall we made a watertight sump. The water in it is pumped up at the back by means of a small aquarium pump.

On the green/ yellow Styrodur sheets we apply acrylic paste to allow the adhesion of the next layers that will create the landscape. The position of the rock formations is examined and we move and saw them until they show an acceptable result.
